Shelter on the Land in NZ

The oblong is levelled on the land and now Phil has four walls, a ceiling and a floor to live inside/within…..

Hi Guys and gals,

Well last week I purchased an Oblong as Leonie calls it, I prefer Skid Row, anyhow, it is a shed on skids, a portacom/Atco/demountable, but it is a roof and four walls delivered to your landing pad!!!<br />
Well last week I purchased an Oblong as Leonie calls it, I prefer Skid Row, anyhow, it is a shed on skids, a portacom/Atco/demountable, but it is a roof and four walls delivered to your landing pad!!!

The truck made it up the hill, all the way from the west coast [of New Zealand, North Island] to the east in 2.5 hrs, after I saw an ad for a 4.8 x 2.6 (metres) shed, new, built by a guy who knocks them up in his spare time. I took a drive over to where he is, Wiamamuka ???, the week before and checked it out, took pics and sent them to Leonie and she liked what she saw ( I think!), so for 3900 (4200 delivered) we now have a building on the HILL.

When it arrived last week, I had been up there getting the site levelled, and when they craned it into position I was gobsmacked that it was level long ways, and when I went back the next day to fine tune the levelling it was not that far out sideways, a proud moment for this two left footed handyman!!!

So I am off to skid row to tie it down today and do some plumbing, and generally scratch around like a chicken round its coop!!!

Next project is the long drop/dunny/outhouse!!!!, build a frame over the long deep hole we had put when the road was graded.

Phil

We are trying to cuddle in a photo of the view of the bay out the window next to this text. Coming soon…..
